Def Tech is a unit consisting of Shen, who was raised in Hawaii, and Micro, who was born in Tokyo. Their first album, "Def Tech," which includes the song "My Way," was released in 2005 and sold over 2.8 million copies, breaking the indie sales records. In 2020, the unit celebrated its 20th anniversary and 15th anniversary of their debut. In November of that year, they made their first appearance on YouTube's "THE FIRST TAKE" with "My Way," which has since gained over 40 million views. They released their latest single, "Weakends," in 2023.
